Best Movies About Politics That You Should See Before You Die
Let’s be honest! Finding good political movies these days isn’t easy. Most of these stories are slow and scarce of action. Also, the dialogues are too long. A good movie must have romance, adventure, suspense and off course, lots of action.
If that’s what you’re looking for, you should consider one of these 14 different options.
1. All the President’s Men
Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward are two Washington Post journalists who work together on a report. It’s a seemingly unimportant political issue. However, as their investigations progress, they realize that the matter is more important than it seems.
Finally, both journalists discover that it’s a case of corruption involving the then President of the United States, Richard Nixon and several members of his cabinet. The film is based on real events and shows how Bernstein and Woodward managed to reveal one of the most famous scandals in history.
Although the efforts of both journalists weren’t enough to prevent the re-election of Nixon as President of the United States, their investigations served as evidence in the Watergate case. At the end of the film, a press release written by Woodward reveals Nixon’s decision to resign from his second term, leaving Gerald Ford as a substitute President.
